MISSION #4: Operation Olympia
Students will dive deep into Ancient Greece and the human body. They'll focus on physical fitness and learning about nutrition. hey will hold an olympics and also create an outdoor event such as a ninja warrior course, 5K fun run, etc and invite others to participate in it.
Our Genius classes help students on their own hero journey. As part of these classes, students will take on learning adventures that culminate in final projects and experiences. Our Leadership class helps students figure out who they are and where they want to go. Publisher class helps students find a voice. The following Genius classes are where a lot of what is prepped in the other two classes is put into action.
These classes involve completing challenges to learn tech, leadership and personal skills as they work together to create the final project that culminates in sharing their experience with others - whether it be the families in the co-op or inviting the community. We incorporate math, STEM, language arts, history, science, leadership, tech, entrepreneurship into these projects so the students get a well-rounded experience.
Please note that not every genius project class period will follow these times exactly. For example, sometimes we may have a 20 min tech period, an hour long thrive period, and then an 1 and 40 minute producer time if the kids want to work on their projects for a longer time.
