Mon/Wed High School Microschool - Winter Semester

Get your academics covered in two days.   We focus on building personall success skills, conneciton and leadership through academics.   We use BYU independent study courses for some of the curriculum to complete at home, through a microschool pilot program (non-accredited.)

*Pods:  Groups for like-minded teens  - 6 min,  up to 12-15 max.  Ideally, students take the full day, but individual classes are available too.
*Academics:  Get academics started  in class  to encourage  self study at home.  We used a flipped learning model - do activities in class, and complete homework at home.
*Homework:  Complete homework to get the most out of the courses.   A laptop is required for high school students.   (Canyon Grove students are issued a laptop.)
*Accountability:  Check in + awards/prizes

*Mentored:  To encourage & inspire students
*Social:  Learn with others,  positive peer pressure & out of class activities.   We also have a Humanitarian trip in May 2025!
*Curriculum & supplies included:  Insofar as possible.  You'll need to get your own reading books (purchase or library)

*Calendar: Jan 12 - May 21 (16 wks/semester)

*Student Plans:  Full  time students will meet with us to create a personalized high school plan.
*BYU Independent Study courses:  We use BYU independent study courses in some of our classes.  We are allowed to use these as part of the microschool pilot program, but they are not accredited (unless you go through Canyon Grove.)  Note that you can take the live class for less than the cost of the independent study course of $209.

*Accreditation & College Courses available:   Sign up as a Canyon Grove high school student and you can get high school and early college credits in our in-person setting.
